The compact MPV segment is all set to be enriched with two models, one from Datsun and Renault each. These cars will definitely take the competition to the next level in 2015. Here is a look into the detailed specifications of the two cars.
After the huge success of Renault Duster, the company is set to launch Lodgy. The new car will share some of the components with the Duster. So it might be expected that the interiors will be somewhat similar. The car will be powered by a 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine, which will generate 110 PS of power with a net torque output of 240 Nm. The Lodgy will be priced somewhat near the Toyota Innova. It is expected that the car will be launched soon during the middle of 2015.
On the other hand, the month of January will see the launch of Datsun Go+ in the market. The car was initially launched at the Delhi Auto Expo in 2014. The car has immense expectations after the success of Datsun Go. It will be powered by a 1.2-litre mill, which is capable of generating a power of 67 bhp and a torque output of 104 Nm. The car will not fall short of power even when going uphill. The car is set to reach 130 kilometres per hour on straight roads. The MPV segment seems to become all the more interesting by the launch of these cars in 2015.
