Mahindra & Mahindra presented the Mahindra Adventure calendar of its second season, which is expected to be full of fun and excitement. Mahindra Adventure is the unique platform that the largest Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) maker of India utilises to exhibit the aggressive and rugged nature of its cars. In this event, the company conducts a host of adventure and motorsports events that enthral the audience to the hilt.
Commencing in June 2012, the year-long Mahindra Adventure will include various adrenaline pumping events, which have been classified into Great Escapes, Challenges and Multi-day Escapes. Racing enthusiasts will enjoy the Tri-Nation Escape (Bhutan, India and Nepal - 14 days), Authentic Goa (6 days) and Wildlife Escape (6 days). The event will also include multi-day escapes that were held in the first season, such as Monastery Escape (10 days) and Royal New Year Escape (6 days).
Through these multi-day escapes, the company puts the spotlight on the uncharted locations of the country as well as the sub-continent. With this, it introduces the concept of Adventure/Driving experience to a broader demographic. Similar to the previous season, racing aficionados who do not possess Mahindra vehicles can pay nominal charges to drive a model from the company's 'adventure-ready' line-up in order to partake in the event.
M&M has introduced the Off-Roading Trophy, a pan-India off-road championship that will be held for the first time. Those who sign up for Great Escape can choose to race for this trophy; they will undergo an evaluation, so that they can race in this off-roading competition.
Gaurav Gill, the three times National Champion and Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) winner, as well as Lohitt Urs, the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) winner, are part of Mahindra Adventure team. Sunny Sidhu, a well known face in the field of rally driving, has also joined their ranks recently. After securing all of the leading positions in the Dakshin Dare Rally 2012, Mahindra Adventure team is geared up to participate in prominent motorsport events like Mughal Rally, Raid de Himalaya and Desert Storm.
As many as 6.3 lac racing enthusiasts support Mahindra Adventure on world's biggest social networking website Facebook, which is a testament of its popularity. 'Get Lost', the first digital magazine centred on adventure, has also been unveiled by the Mahindra Adventure team in order to further strengthen their position in this field.
While talking about Mahindra Adventure, Vivek Nayer, Senior Vice President - Marketing, Automotive Division, M&M, commented, “After the successful run of Mahindra Adventure Season 1, we are all geared to unveil the new season that promises even more thrills for the adventure seeker. The ‘Off-Roading Trophy’ and international events make the Season 2 even more exciting and will go a long way in showcasing the tough and rugged capability of our range of vehicles.”
