      Madhya Pradesh capital becomes home to Audi second dealership

      After Indore, the capital of Madhya Pradesh became the site of the second Audi dealership in the state. The company cut the ribbon on its new showroom situated in Bhopal and is planning to make its entire line-up available for sale in the city. This showroom, which has an aluminium façade honeycomb exteriors, sprawls over an area of 2,804 sq. ft. and is named Audi Bhopal. The display area of the new showroom can house a total of 3 cars. Audi Shop and Audi Exclusive, where customers can shop for branded merchandise and order customised products, will also be integrated in Audi Bhopal. The showroom will act as a satellite branch to Audi Indore and is centred on the newly established boutique outlet concept.

      According to Head, Audi India, Michael Perschke, “The opening of a new showroom in Bhopal showcases our commitment to offer our customers with an unparalleled luxury experience of class defining products and premium services. We already enjoy a market share of more than 50 percent in the luxury car market in Madhya Pradesh and the opening of this second showroom in Madhya Pradesh further strengthens our foothold in the region and provides us with an opportunity to capitalize on the growing demand for luxury automobiles. The brand Audi has gained strong acceptance in Madhya Pradesh and Bhopal as the capital is important since it gives an access to the entire state due it its economic and political status.”

      By the end of this year, the Indian subdivision to the German car maker is hoping to increase its dealership network to 25 dealers from the existing 19 dealers. The car maker opened a showroom in Nagpur earlier in the month of March and in Coimbatore and West Delhi in April. In the previous year, it established new showrooms in the cities of Chennai, Ludhiana, Surat and Indore. It also aims to register 45 per cent YoY growth in the country and attain sales volumes of 8,000 units in 2012. The company nosed ahead of Mercedes Benz in the first quarter of 2012 to grab the second spot in the luxury car market of India. In May 2012, it came out with the new edition of its A4 sedan and is expected to launch the Q5 in June.
