      Lamborghini Huracan India launch in August, bookings exceed allotted quota

      Lamborghini will bring its latest supercar, Huracan to India next month. Unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the supercar has bagged 700 bookings from across the globe so far. In India the supercar is slated to launch in August, however deliveries will begin by year end. Lamborghini also organized a special unveil event for prospective buyers in India a month ago. As far as the pricing is concerned, in India it could cost around Rs 3.0 crore to Rs 3.5 crore. Despite an expected hefty pricing, response from customers in India has been immense, dealers have revealed that the bookings have surpassed the allotted quota for Indian market.

      The new supercar from Italian auto maker, Lamborghini will be powered by an athletic 5.2 litre, naturally aspirated V10 engine. The mighty engine is capable of churning out a towering power of 618 PS at 8,250 RPM along with a top torque of 560 Nm. Lamborghini has introduced a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission for the first time in its car. Equipped with a robust engine, Huracan is claimed to deliver an impressive performance. The mighty engine enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph within 3.2 seconds and it achieves the 200 kmph mark from zilch within 9.9 seconds and hits top speed mark of 325 kmph. Presently, Lamborghini is offering Huracan with an all wheel drive system, however a lighter and muscular rear wheel drive variant is expected to be out on offer by year end. In India, the supercar will rival against Porsche 911, Audi R8 V10 and Ferrari 458.
