Lamborghini Huracan Review

The Gallardo was Lamborghini's most successful ultra-luxury sportscar to date. The company produced 14,002 units in its decade long journey. The Gallardo finally bid goodbye in 2014 when the Italian automaker announced its successor, the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 that offers same level of performance. This stylish super luxury sportscar entered India on September 22, 2014.

Further to this, read  Lamborghini Huracan Road Test details by our expert.

The Huracan features the same signature low down Lambo design, and the overall profile of the car is similar to the larger Aventador Coupe. Upfront is a low sweeping bonnet, with angular-shaped projector headlamps, extended air intakes which are superimposed by the licensing plate holder. On sides, the roofline stretches downwards that further enhances the overall profile of the car that sits really low off the ground. There are several aerodynamic lines, and the large flared wheel arches are fitted with 18-inch wheels. At the back, the Huracan looks like a more evolved Gallardo. It features four massive oval exhausts and twig shaped LED tail lamps and a massive lip spoiler.

The overall interior styling of the Huracan looks similar to the Aventador, but it features wider size of the instrument cluster. There are various switches positioned on both sides of the steering wheel, while the paddles are placed behind the wheel. The Alcantara seats feature contrasting stitches, while the dashboard is covered in leather. It is equipped with various features such as touch screen infotainment system, climate control, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and a launch control button.

Engine & Transmission

The Lamborghini Huracan is powered by a 5.2-litre V10 engine that churns out a massive 610bhp of power and 560Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to all-4 wheels via a four-wheel drive system and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Performance and Handling

Lamborghinis are known for their superior performance, and the Hurancan is not an exception here. The car sprint to 100kmph from standstill in mere 3.2 seconds and the 0 to 200kmph run can be covered in 9.9 seconds. It is claimed to hit a top speed of 325kmph. It features stop-start technology and offers low CO2 emissions of 290 g/km.

Braking System

The Lamborghini Huracan’s braking system comprises of hydraulic dual-circuit brake system with vaccum brake servo unit, six-piston callipers at the front and four-piston callipers at the rear. The braking system is further assisted by ABS, traction control and Electronic stability control.

The 5204 cc Petrol - powered variant delivers a fuel economy of 5 kmpl in city and 7 kmpl on highways.

Safety Features

The Lamborghini Huracan is loaded with a range of safety and security features including seven-airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), traction control, tyre pressure monitoring, Electronic stability Control (ESC), side impact beams, etc.

The Lamborghini Huracan picks up where the iconic Gallardo left off. The angular exterior styling manages to offer sportiness as well as the elegance, while the stealth fighter-like cockpit offers luxurious feel. If you are ready to shed over 4 crore, then Huracan is the right car for you.

The 2015 Maserati GranTurismo is the closest competitor of the Lamborghini Huracan.

This is the more powerful, more expensive, and more desirable version of what is one of the most successful V10-engined supercars ever, the Lamborghini Huracan. In this Evo guise, it makes almost 640bhp and 600Nm of peak torque, and this is from a naturally aspirated engine. There are other changes too, as part of the Evo upgrade. It gets torque....

Naturally, a special Huracan deserves some visual add-ons as well. So, there’s a new, sportier bumper upfront, and the side intakes have been redesigned as well. But, it’s from the rear that the Evo truly stands out. The rear bumper is new, of course. But, the car also has its exhausts placed higher. And, the rear diffuser is now so a.... Read More
