KTM RC 200 is provided with a 200 cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled mill, which is capable of producing a net power of 25 bhp. It can churn out a maximum torque of 19.2 Nm, which is an outstanding figure of this category. The RC 390 model is powered by a 375 cc mono cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It generates 45 bhp of power at a torque output of 35 Nm. The power is transferred to the dashing wheels through a stylish six-speed gearbox in both RC 390 as well as RC 200.

Daytime running lamps have been provided in both the variants. Other innovations have also been installed on the pillion as well as rear view mirrors. KTM has kept the pricing of both the bikes pretty aggressive, however, it is expected that the specifications will meet up to the standards. Both the bikes are developed on their respective Duke platforms. So, it can be expected that some of the features and specifications of RC 200 and RC 390 can have strong resemblance with the Duke 200 and Duke 390 variants from KTM. Incidentally, both these bikes have been globally famous and among the most sought-after models of KTM.
