Kawasaki is known for its superb designs and technological innovations, which it uses in its production models. As per a recent report by Visordown, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has registered in excess of 10 patents during a period of around 90 days. Reportedly, these patents feature designs for an electrical motorcycle, that the firm intends on producing in the future. Based on images, the bike's design would feature a unique geometry and trellis framework.

Sources suggest that the firm has been working on this project for about three years now. The first patents was seen back in 2012. However, the registration of these patents suggests that the firm shall now finally fasten the process and undertake vehicle's production activity.

Sketches from Kawasaki display various features including the framework for a large-sized battery pack. Among the designs patented by Kawasaki, one includes a section of frame tubes that can be detached, which results in easy removal of the battery. It being said that the Japanese firm, which already has put forward an application for trademarking Ninja R2, would be looking to patent two more designs, namely Ninja E2 and E2R. However, these are merely speculations as no images of the E2 and E2R designs are present on the internet.

Automobile industry analysts are of the opinion that Kawasaki might be conforming to the right naming convention of the supercharged motorcycles Nina H2 and H2R. This, in a lot of ways, makes sense as the bikes have come a long way in terms of being huge market brands. Officially, Kawasaki has not made any statements regarding the launch of the new electric motorcycle but some suggest that it might be preparing an introduction for the back at the 2015 EICMA motor show, which is scheduled to take place in Milan.
