John Abraham, the popular Bollywood actor and youth icon, has disclosed his lifelong dream of taking part in a car rally and a bike race. Abraham was recently in Mumbai to inaugurate the 2013 Mumbai International Motor Show, which is going on at MMRDA Grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex.
At the inauguration ceremony, the forty year old self confessed high-speed bike and sports car aficionado was quoted as saying, “It is my dream to take part in Baja 1000 (car rally), from California to Mexico. I have seen some documentaries on it. So I have got two dreams to fulfil, one is to take part in Baja 1000 if I ever sit in a car.”
Abraham further added, “For me, the Isle of Man TT (a bike racing event) is Mecca of motorcycling. I have watched everyone who has won that race. These are the two things I want to do before I go up.”
At present, John Abraham owns a Maruti Suzuki Gypsy Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in his garage, which he calls his most cherished possession. Further, the actor got his Gypsy custom designed by Swapnil Nalabade, which features mag wheels, removed rear seats and bull bars in the tailgate. Evidently, it seems John is ready for a car rally race.
Abraham is also renowned for his top-end highly powerful collection of sports bikes, including several big names, such as Yamaha RD350, Royal Enfield Bullet, Suzuki GSX 1300R Hayabusa, Kawasaki ZX11 and Yamaha R1.
