Jaguar’s newest venture, the C-X17 concepts first made an appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September last year. And now it finally found its way to India as the company debuted its first ever crossover concept at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. Other than being a preview of Jaguar’s future offering, this rather luxurious crossover also works to demonstratethe company’s new advanced aluminum monocoque architecture, codenamed iQ (AI). Future models from Jaguar’s stable will be developed under the employment of this new architecture. The company's website states that it's not just a vehicle architecture – it’s a completely new philosophy that underpins the innovative future of the brand, enabling Jaguar to significantly grow its product portfolio.'

Jaguar made another new addition to this concept called the ‘Rear Exit Detection’. The company claims that this system warns the occupants against opening the doors when there are approaching blind-spot objects such as cyclists for example.
Prepared to fortify the new Jaguar sedan in 2015, Jaguar said that the C-X17 concept establishes the true length and breadth of this platform. Furthermore, the C-X17, along with the new sedan, will be powered by Jaguar’s recently industrialized petrol and diesel engines. The company asserts that this new engine family will deliver radical power outputs and reduced emissions.
