The Duster compact SUV has been leading the game in the compact SUV segment in the country. Moreover, it has also been in good demand in the international markets as well. The company manufactures Duster trim for the domestic as well as international markets at its India based manufacturing plant.
This time around the India-made Renault Duster sold in the UK has been identified with corrosion issues. The paint quality across the panels is also found to be inconsistent especially under one of the door frames and the area under the bonnet. Though, this does not affect the vehicle's performance in any way, the company has announced a recall for a particular lot that were sold between January 2013 to August 2014 in the UK markets. The ones sold in India are however not affected with this problem.
Renault had stopped exporting its cars to UK market as it finds the Romania production unit a more economical option than the Indian one. Renault India has been planning on bringing the new Duster trim laden with fresh upgrades sometime early next year and may probably be launched along the Lodgy MPV that is also dur to hit the market sometime soon.
