Hyundai India is aiming to launch a series of new cars in the country in 2015. The company will launch the Verna facelift in early next year. The updated model will get both exterior and interior changes. With the refreshed Verna, the South Korean auto-giant is aiming to counter the growing popularity of new Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. The updated model has been already put on test in India.

The updated Hyundai Verna aka Solaris is already on sale Chinese and Russian markets. The new model gets the more evolved Hyundai's Fluidic 2.0 design philosophy, which is visible on the current Santa Fe and Elite i20 hatchback as well. The new model takes some design elements from the Sonata sedan.

The Hyundai Verna facelift is likely to get updated front fascia. The vehicle would feature a dual-slat chrome grille, flanked by larger head-lamps. Its restyled bumper accommodates newly styled LED daytime running lights and fog lamps. At the back, the car is expected to remain unchanged; however, the company might add some chrome to offer premium look. There will be new LEDs and new reflectors integrated on the rear bumper. Inside, the vehicle is likely to remain unaltered except for the few more goodies and new upholstery.

Under the hood is the same 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. The company is likely to offer a six-speed automatic gearbox instead of the 4-speed auto box in the current model.
