Hyundai Motor India has revealed its plans to sell about five lakh cars in the Indian market this year. With planned cars due to be launched across diverse segments, the numbers seems to be a realistic figure. Speaking more on the occasion, BS Seo, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, “We can expect to achieve the target soon. But, it will also depend on the market situation.”
The company shall utilize the Chennai facility that has a production capacity for manufacturing about seven lakh cars a year. Commenting further, Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice-President - Sales and Marketing, said, “We will continue to focus around effective products with new design philosophy and high-quality products.”As of now, the company has a production capacity of about 6.80 lakhs which shall soon be expanded to about 7 lakh units this year.
