DSK Motowheels, the Indian division of Hyosung, is all set to introduce two new bikes in the Indian auto industry in 650 cc segment. Hyosung GT650R and Aquila Pro650 are the two models, among which the former will be offered as a sports bike, while the latter happens to be a cruiser. The Korean bike maker has declared that it will be launching both the motorcycles on January 16, 2013. Reportedly, post its launch, GT650R will deliver a stiff competition to Ninja 650 in the Indian market.

Hyosung GT650R will come assimilated with a 647 cc 90 degree V-Twin engine, which will have the potential to churn out a peak power output of 72 bhp. Equipped with fuel injection technology, the upcoming model will feature six-speed constant mesh transmission system for hassle free shifts between the gears. However, no other information has been revealed yet, regarding the pricing and other features of the model.

On the other hand, the Hyosung Aquila Pro650 will also come fitted with a 647cc 90 degree V-Twin engine, which will have a similar output. However, the model will be assimilated with a constant mesh five-speed gearbox to provide a convenient driving experience to the rider. Along with a powerful engine, the auto maker has also incorporated several safety features within its upcoming model. Its front tyre will come fitted with dual disk brakes, while the rear tyre will have a single disc. Other features of Aquila Pro650 include digital speedometer and LED tail lamps.

So far, Hyosung has not been able to carve a niche in the Indian auto industry. With the launch of two new performance oriented models, industry experts believe that the auto maker might strike right chords with the hearts of Indian buyers this time.
