Honda has finally made an announcement that the famous John McGuiness and Conor Cummins will continue to be the lead racers for the company in 2015, as well. Incidentally, the journey for McGuiness in 2014 was not exactly as he would have liked and was marred with injuries. He had suffered from a broken scaphoid, which was a result of s crash from an off-road bike. In spite of the injuries, the 21-time Isle of Man TT winner managed to come up with a commendable performance at the TT events with a victory at the TT Zero Class. For Cummins, the year was exceptionally good as he secured the pole position in the Sile of Man as well as North West 200 races. With a season full of experiences and a good hand at the Superbike SP, it is expected that the rider will bring in accolades in 2015, as well.

Apart from racing for the Honda team, both the riders race for the privately-owned Jackson racing team in the class of Supersports at the Isle of Man TT and the North West 200. Apart from these races, the riders will also take part as the Superstock class in the Endurance World Championship.

McGuiness said in a statement, “There’s no denying that 2014 was a tough year for me. It shook my confidence and held me back but I’m ready to put it all behind me and get back to the business of winning races. I can’t wait to get back on the bike and prove that there’s life in the old dog yet.”
