      Sedans are a visual treat for car lovers and most of these models are able to get heads turned while they purr across the street. Indian automobile sector is abundant with a plethora of sedan models, both from Indian as well as global brands, which have been quite successful in the market. Be it in the respect of sales or on the basis of crowd favouritism, these cars have scored well in all aspects. Two of the most popular cars in this category are Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Fiat Linea.

      Maruti Suzuki Ciaz runs on a basic 1373 cc engine, which is capable of producing 91 bhp power at the rate of 6000 rpm. The net twisting force generated from the car is 130 Nm at the rate of 4000 rpm. Like most other sedan variants in the country, the model also comes with a Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) option. Power is transmitted to the wheels using a five-speed transmission. It returns 20.73 kilometres per litre according to ARAI, which is commendable.

      On the other hand, the Fiat Linea is capable of generating 91.7 bhp at the rate of 4000 rpm from its 1248 cc engine. The net twisting force of the car is 209 Nm at the rate of 2000 rpm. The car has also been provided with the FWD option and is mated to the wheels using a five-speed gearbox. Fiat Linea has a fuel tank capacity of 45 litres and returns 17.2 kilometres per litre on city roads. On highways, the mileage goes up to 20.4 kilometres per litre. Considering the fact that the Linea is available at 9.7 lakhs INR only, it is a good buy when it comes to compact sedans.
