The Amaze hit Honda Cars India’s retail outlets on April 11, 2013, with price tags starting from Rs. 4.99 lakh for the base petrol that goes on till Rs. 7.5 lakh for the automatic petrol trim. Further, the Amaze diesel range comes in a price band between Rs. 5.99 lakh and Rs. 7.6 lakh (all prices in the ex-showrooms of New Delhi). Till date, the Japanese auto maker has introduced its ultra modish Amaze entry level sedan in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

As per reports, Honda Cars India’s production capacity of the Amaze entry level sedan stands at around 4,000 to 5,000 units per year. The Japanese auto maker is positive that the new model could outsell its entire competition in the domestic passenger car market. Speaking on the same, Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President (VP), Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India Limited, was quoted as saying, “Our current plan is to make 4,000 to 5,000 cars (Amaze) a month. Our capacity is 1.2 lakh units which include all our models. What's available for this model is 4,000 to 5,000 units a month. Sen further added, “We are limited by capacity as of now.”

Honda Amaze  range is offered to domestic car buyers in both petrol and diesel powered variants. The Amaze petrol models come fitted with a 1.2 litre i-VTEC engine that generates a peak power output of 87 bhp. Further, Amaze diesel range is powered with a 1.5 litre i-DTEC oil burner, which churns out 99 bhp of maximum power, along with a class-leading mileage figure of 25.8 kmpl.
