The Splendor brand from the Hero MotoCorp production line has been huge hit since it launch more than two decades ago. The bike paved way for the commuter segment bikes in the country and set the sales charts on fire in the 100cc segment. The powerful twin – Super Splendor has been launched in a new avatar this time around loaded with interesting features and developments. The latest version of Super Splendor from Hero MotoCorp has been launched for about Rs. 53,735 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The new Hero MotoCorp Super Splendor is powered by 124.7cc single cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine. The fairly powered engine is mated to a four speed gearbox and generates about 9.12 PS of power with about 10.35 Nm of peak torque. Disc brake front wheel has been excluded this time and the general drum brake pattern has been retained. As per company sources, the bike is capable of attaining a top speed of about 90 kmpl. Ride quality is smoother and comfortable with the Swing Arm five-step adjustable shock absorbers for the rear wheel and telescopic hydraulic shocks for the front.
The dimensions of the new Hero MotoCorp Super Splendor is more or less the same as the earlier version. The bike is available in interesting shades of Candy Blazing Red, Heavy Grey, Graphite Black, Black with Electric Purple, Black with Fiery Red and Vibrant Blue. The vibrant shades are complimented with new body graphics. The newer version is adorned with interesting features like black Alloy wheels and a side stand indicator that gives out a beep when you forget to pull up the stand before rolling.
