Hero Xtreme Sports version has been launched in India at the price of 72625 INR (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Xtreme Sports has been developed on the platform of Xtreme, however, the bike has been provided with a number of technical as well as aesthetic modifications. These modifications have enabled the bike to compete the likes of premium motorcycles in this 150 cc range like Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ Version 2.0 and Honda CB Unicorn 160.

The most important cosmetic upgrade on the bike is the all-new ‘wolf eye’ headlamp unit, a redesigned tank, a new cowl beneath the engine and side panels. It has also been provided with a wider rear tubeless tyre, split seats, a new handle bar and revised rear and front fenders. Apart from these upgrades, the Hero bike also gets new decal and colour options.

The Xtreme Sports get technical modifications, as well. The engine option remains the same at 149.2 cc, which has been taken forward from the Xtreme. However, the bike has been tuned to generate more power from 14.2 bhp to a more comfortable 15.2 bhp. The torque has been bolstered from 12.8 Nm to 13.5 Nm. However, the constant mesh five-speed transmission still persists in the new model.

Young customers have a special liking for the 150 cc bike segment, which should also be stylish and efficient. Yamaha has been able to grab this market quite well with its FZ-S. With the launch of this Xtreme Sports, Hero MotoCorp tries to grab a share into this market. The bike is priced at 75725 INR (ex-showroom).
