      Hero MotoCorp announces price hike across range by 0.5 to 1 per cent

      India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp has hiked prices across its range of scooters and bikes by 0.5 -1 per cent. The company has increased prices across its product portfolio to combat repercussions of increase in input costs. Auto cos in India are facing problems due to continual rise in input costs, however, Hero MotoCorp is the first company to proclaim price hike across its range of scooters and bikes. The sudden increase will apparently not affect sales of the company as the price hike is marginal. On the other hand, with rise in prices of bikes and scooters we could expect a slight rise in profit margins, during the festive season as customers tend to buy new vehicles during this time. After Hero MotoCorp, it is likely that other auto companies could also announce price hike, after the festive season is over.

      To offer something new to its customers during festive season, Hero MotoCorp rolled out two new bikes namely-Spendor Pro Classic and Passion Pro TR. The Splendor Pro Classic is available for sale at Rs 48,650 and Passion Pro TR is priced at Rs 51,550 (ex-showroom Delhi). Besides these two bikes, the company also introduced new colour options and graphics on its male centric scooter Maestro. Though the price of Maestro remains unaffected and is available at the same cost.
