The Los Angeles (LA) Auto Show will be held from 18 November to 27 November 2011. The Sneak Preview Night will be held on 17 November 2011, whereas the press days will be on 16 November to 17 November. It is an annual auto show held at the Los Angeles Convention Centre in late November or early December.

The LA Auto Show began in 1907 with 99 vehicles on display at Morley's Skating Rink. The LA Auto Show is an OICA sanctioned international exhibition and also approved by the Great Los Angeles New Car Dealers Association. It is open to public for 10 days each year, filling 71,000 sq. m of exhibit space.

It is expected that number of debuts will increase this year, as automakers from around the world are planning to attend the event. "The message this year is very clear," said Andy Fuzesi, General Manager, LA Auto Show. "The automotive industry is gaining momentum and the LA Show is an important venue for manufacturers to launch the innovations that are leading the way."

Ford will possibly introduce 3 world debuts and General Motors, which has launched its Beat Diesel in India recently, will unveil two. Subaru, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi, and Fiat will also attempt to play significant role. Hyundai has already declared its two models, the Elantra Coupe and Azera. Infiniti JX Crossover (2013), an all-new, mid-sized, more fuel-efficient crossover is also expected to take centre stage.

Many of the North American vehicle premieres will try to steal the show, including Audi, which has just launched its Audi A6 Sedan in India. BMW will show the new BMW i concept vehicles, namely the BMW i3 and BMW i8. In addition, Mazda is expected to bring the CX-5 compact crossover, which is a new SUV with SKYACTIV powertrain and chassis technologies.

On the other hand, Volvo will introduce a trend-setter concept vehicle. Many debuts are also expected from Porche, Mercedes-Benz and Lincoln. Besides, all those brands which were present at the last year's event are expected to have their exhibit spaces this year as well.
