      Fords fresh mantra- Light, fast and advanced

      Ford Motor Co.'s to-be productions would be rested on priorities like that of offering advantageous fuel economy. This would be achieved with smaller sized vehicles and engines shedding the extra kilos without compromising performance, safety or luxury. It also desires to ascend the Ford brand in terms of using up to the mark techniques and more importantly advancement to grab customer’s attention and also to entice new buyers with varied product offerings.

      Ford has claimed that 90 percent of its North American productions will be available with direct-injection turbocharged EcoBoost engines as standard equipment or as an option to be selected by 2013. That engine yields out a power equivalent to those of the heavier V-8s or conventional six-cylinder engines.
      By the death months of this year, the EcoBoost engine will be provided as an option on five of Ford's 15 North American brands. The fortunate ones being the Flex crossover, Taurus sedan, F-150 pickup, Edge crossover and Explorer crossover. Ford also is evolving a 1-litre three-cylinder EcoBoost engine for subcompact and compact cars that is likely to arrive in 2013.

      To have a whole view of the scene during the next 2 to 3 years, the teaser of Ford's 2012-14 model cars that would be backed by effective components is on the floor. Talking about Fiesta, the subcompact which went on sale in May 2010 as a 2011 model would likely be accessed to 1.0-litre three-cylinder EcoBoost engine form. Further plans suggest a restyling that will be due in the 2014 model.

      The major focus of the leader Ford is reflected with the launch of the refined car Focus model this year under the worldwide compact product being the primary point of concentration. An electric version is also being mulled upon for the 2012 model year. A performance version called the Focus ST, with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that will hit the roads in 2012. There are speculations that the1.0-litre EcoBoost by Ford could find a place in the Focus, as a betterment drive in fuel economy option in the 2013 or 2014 model year.

      Mustang, another ace from the carmakers is claimed to be redesigned for the 2015 model year. The brand name Mustang turns 50 in 2014 as its production started on March 9, 1964. Those inside Ford say the Mustang's 50th anniversary is "hugely important" and Ford will definitely cash in on the opportunity. The redesigned Mustang is expected to transform into independent rear suspension, from the current solid rear axle, as a part of the future drive.

      Another creation of Ford i.e. Fusion is also set to face the refreshment and along with it, its Lincoln MKZ sibling is scheduled for the 2013 model year. At that time, the two models will represent the company in mid-sized sedan segment.

      Thus, Ford has a long way to go and would strive to be on the mending hand in everything it possesses and transform a better present into the best future.
