      Ford India inaugurates second ASSET centre in Bangalore

      Globally renowned carmaker Ford has been known to deliver cars laden with modern high-end technology. To encourage a team of young talented and skilled professionals in India, Ford has collaborated with ITI Bangalore to launch its second Automotive Student Service Educational Training (ASSET) centre in Bangalore. At the inauguration event, P.K. Umashankar, Vice-President, Customer Service Operations, Ford India was quoted as saying, “After the successful launch in Cochin, we are delighted to come to Bangalore. Working with Loyola Group, we are creating an asset that will not only help students with better growth and employment prospects but also the automobile industry with skilled workforce. We are going to expand to more cities and would like Ford ASSET centers to be the primary source of trained pool of technicians for Ford dealers across the country.”

      The event was honored with the presence of prominent figures like Rector Fr. Francis S.J and Fr. John D’Souza of Loyola Group of Institutions, and P.K. Umashankar. The exclusive technical training center has been set-up within the premises of Loyola Private Industrial Training Centre in Bangalore. The enrolled students shall be trained on Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV) curriculum. The course also involves sessions for institute lecturers like Train-The-Trainer (TTT) to further enhance the learning process.

      By 2015, Ford India plans on inaugurating about 10 such ASSET centres in the country. Students enrolling for the course shall be handed out with learning aids like training material, tool kit and component display.
