Auto companies, which have not been able to do well this year owing to the steep hike in fuel prices, are adopting various strategies and coming up with new and rehash models this festive season to lure buyers. Ford Motors, too, following suit is all set to launch a facelifted version of its popular Ford Figo on Monday 15th October 2012.
The old version of Ford Figo has so far done tremendous business for the company and has made more than 2,00,000 happy customers. This becomes an even bigger news for the company because Figo managed to cross the 2 lac mark at a time when other auto makers, owing to the rise in fuel prices, are struggling to boost their sales.
With the huge success of the existing version, the new Facelift Figo is also likely to do good business. The new Figo is expected to be priced slightly higher than the present version. The facelift version of Ford's hatchback will come with stylish body design having new headlamps, a new grille, a new airdam design tail lamps, restyled bumper and many other features. The interiors of the hatchback car is also set to undergo major changes in its audio control and dashboards. It is expected that the facelift version will also have a button start. However, the engine is unlikely to undergo any modification.
The facelift Ford Figo will compete against the likes of Hyundai i20 and Maruti Suzuki Swift. However, only the time will tell if Figo manages to win the confidence of i20 and Swift's trusted customers.
