      Ford-EcoSport-Signature-Edition

      Ford has expanded the EcoSport lineup in India with two new editions - the EcoSport S and the EcoSport Signature edition. Based on the variant, it is available in two petrol and one diesel engine option. For freshness both the variants gets fresh cosmetic upgrades and are limited to manual transmission. Here below are the key differences between both the variants -

      Ford EcoSport S

      The EcoSport S distinguishes itself from the regular version with an all-new smoked HID headlamps with dark inserts and a more prominent black treatment for the fog lamp bezel. The variant also gets a blacked out grille, black painted roof and roof rails, and 17-inch alloy wheels for that sporty appeal. Step inside and you will find a bigger 4.2-inch digital information cluster along with the tyre pressure monitoring system. For freshness, the variant gets orange accents on the seats as well as the instrument panel and an eight-inch infotainment system with SYNC 3.

      Ford-EcoSport-S

      Under the hood, the petrol version of EcoSport S gets the older 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, EcoBoost engine that produces 123bhp of power and 170Nm of torque. It comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Due to a smaller petrol engine, the variant is cheaper by Rs 15,000 over the manual Titanium+ variant. The diesel version on the other hand gets a 1.5-litre engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission that generates 95bhp of power and 205Nm of torque. The diesel version costs an additional Rs 85,000 over the current top spec diesel variant.

      Ford EcoSport Signature Edition

      Available for a limited duration, the EcoSport Signature Edition is also offered with an imposing grille with chrome surrounds, black fog-lamp bezel and diamond cut 17-inch alloys. Additionally, it also gets all round graphics, rear spoiler and roof rails. As for the interior, the car comes with blue accents on the seats, centre console and instrument panel for that standalone appeal. The Signature Edition also offers a sun-roof. Interestingly, customers can opt for the option pack on the Titanium variant. The Signature Edition costs an additional Rs 85,000 over the regular variant.

      Mechanically, the Ecosport Signature Edition is powered by the current generation 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that generates 123bhp and 150Nm of torque. The diesel on the other hand gets a 1.5-litre engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission that generates 95bhp of power and 205Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
