Ford India has launched a special edition of the EcoSport with new features. This Platinum Edition is priced at Rs 10.39 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi) for the petrol variant and Rs 10.69 lakh for the diesel trim.
The cosmetic changes to the exterior include a black roof to give it a dual tone appearance, larger 17-inch wheels and a new design pattern for the alloys. Inside, there is a new 8-inch touch screen system that supports audio and video playback. This features satellite navigation and comes paired to a rear view camera as well. This Platinum Edition is based on the Titanium variant, so all the other features will be offered with the addition of cruise control.
There are no changes on the powertrain front. The special edition continues to be offered with the existing 1.5-litre TDCi diesel mill and the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol unit. Transmission options include only the five-speed manual for now.

The new features and cosmetic enhancements have given the Ford EcoSport a much-needed update. Many customers wanted a touch screen system and cruise control. Now, prospective buyers will benefit from these features and also get the compact SUV that looks a little different from the standard car.
