The time is not far away, when you will be seeing cars flying in the sky of Indian cities. One of the most looked forward technology in the automobile world - the flying car, designed and tested by a US-based company Terrafugia. The firm has said that it is looking at India, China and Brazil as its future markets. The car will be commercially launched in the world market by the end of next year.

According to the firm, the ‘roadable aircraft’ that has been designed and tested by it, basically is a aircraft-cum-car, which carries advanced foldable wings. The wings get tucked in when the car is on road. Interestingly, the car is compact enough to be parked in a home garage. It just takes 30 seconds to convert into an aircraft.

The car has been grabbing headlines in the global markets since last few months, and more than 100 units of this flying car have already been booked. The car has been priced at USD 2,79,000. The car can fly 460 miles with a full tank with a top speed of 110 miles per hour.

The car has been developed by Carl Dietrich, who is co-founder of Terrafugia. Mr. Dietrich is in India to take part in the 'Goa Think Fest - 2011'. He said that after the US launch, the company will spread in Europe, adding that India, Brazil and China would be the future markets.
