When the names of top brands like Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini or Porsche are taken, the image that first comes across the mind is that of a gorgeous car with a rumbling engine purr zooming past at a lightning speed. A slight foot tap on the accelerator gives the hint of its powerful engine and massive performance output. One of the top brands is here to draw the attention of its fans from around the world towards such an outlandish automobile experience. McLaren, the renowned manufacturer has done it yet again. It has redirected all the attention of its followers and customers from across the globe towards its famed Sports Series. This model will be the entry-level car from McLaren. It is expected that the manufacturer will unveil the car sometime in 2015.
The world has got few glimpses of the car previously in some videos. These videos were posted online with the hash tag #blackswanmoments, which has a codename P13. This McLaren model is set to become the most affordable model from the carmaker as of now. The car has been inspired and has the aura of the top-models of McLaren. So much so, that it might as well be said that the car has the inkling of a few top-in-line McLaren cars. The much-awaited Sports Series has reportedly taken the styling inspiration from the acclaimed P1 as well as from the 650S. However, one major point of different will be the reduction in size. Apart from these aspects, the car has been provided with a distinct tail lights, all-new rear diffuser and narrower side vents. However, the beautiful and stylish butterfly doors have been retained to provide that edge so characteristic of McLaren.
The McLaren Sports Series car is expected to run on a slightly detuned variant of the 3.8 litre V8 twin-turbo mill, which has been used in the 650S. The engine is expected to deliver somewhere around 500 bhp. With such a magnificent engine, the car will supposedly be capable to 100 kilometres an hour from ignition within four seconds. The top speed capable of this car will be of the range of 300 kilometres an hour. SO be ready for tis pure McLaren to steal your hearts away at the New York International Auto Show, scheduled for April 2015.
