With an aim to increase its market share in the Indian auto market, Fiat is planning to launch a bunch of new cars, including the Fiat Punto Evo Abarth and Avventura. Both the vehicles have already started testing in India, and their test mules have been recently spotted.

Powering the Punto Evo Abarth is a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that also does duty to the Linea T-Jet. Though, it is tuned for extra power. This powertrain is expected to deliver a maximum power of up to 135bhp. The car features a TJet badge on the bootlid, a chrome exhaust tip, Abarth body graphics on the sides and Abarth alloy wheels, as seen on the test mule. Compared to the regular Punto Evo, the Punto Evo Abarth is equipped with disc brakes and stiffer suspension system.

The Fiat Avventura Abarth, on the other hand, is likely to get minimal cosmetic updates. Except for the Abarth badges and signs, the design of the car will remain largely unchanged. Power for the Avventura Abarth will come from the same engine that will be found on the Punto Evo Abarth.

According to reports, Fiat will introduce the performance brand - Abarth - in India in August 2015. The Fiat competizione will be the first Abarth product to be rolled out here, followed by the Punto Evo Abarth and Avventura Abarth.
