      FIAT Indias first exclusive dealership established in the city of Hyderabad

      Fiat India, the renowned automobile company has launched its sate-of-the-art dealership in Hyderabad by the name of Tejaswi Motors. This is first independent dealership of the company in India. The 5,400 sq. ft. showroom situated in Punnaiah Plaza has frontage measuring 80 feet. In order to provide real Fiat experience to the customers for enhancing the brand presence, the company has started this dealership.

      A few months ago, the company has launched the Fiat Caffe in the country. Customers will get an enhanced FIAT buying experience due to this showroom, which was established by an existing Tata Fiat dealer.

      Mr. A K Sinha, Country Head, Fiat Product Group, Tata Motors and Mr. Enrico Atanasio, Head- Commercial, Fiat India together inaugurated the new dealership. Mr. Enrico Atanasio, said, “FIAT group views India as a very strategic market and will be opening a new company to leverage this potential. Following our announcement, the fact that an existing TATA FIAT dealer, M/s Tejaswi Motors has taken the initiative in opening up an exclusive showroom for FIAT and providing the FIAT brand experience reconfirms the strong relationship and overall strategic approach we share with TATA. We are confident that this partnership with Tejaswi Motors will play a crucial role in intensifying customer base and enhancing customer experience in the city of pearls”

      Mr. B S Neelkanta, Managing Director, Tejaswi Motors said, “We are extremely proud to be associated with FIAT India and are committed to provide our customers in Hyderabad a premium buying experience. FIAT diesel engines are very popular in the country and with Hyderabad being a strong diesel market historically; we have invested in opening this showroom at a very prominent location to offer excellent brand experience to both existing and potential customers”.

      FIAT India’s operations in India will be executed by this dealership. At present, the Linea and Punto models would be sold to the customers through this dealership. Launch of the new dealership is a part of Fiat India’s aggressive plan to strengthen its foothold in the country.

      FIAT India Automobiles Limited (FIAL) is the result of an Industrial Joint Venture

      Between Tata Motors Limited (Tata) and FIAT Group Automobiles S. p. A., (FIAT). Based at Ranjangaon in the Pune District of Maharashtra, the company provides employment to 2,691 people. This 50-50 joint venture between Tata and Fiat was signed on October 11, 2007 comprising five nominees from each company.

      The Ranjangaon of FIAL has the capacity to manufacture 200,000 cars and 350,000 engines. Apart from these, 300,000 parts & accessories can also be produced in the production plant. At present, Linea and the Grande Punto are manufactured in this plant. 1.2 & 1.4 litre Fire gasoline engine and 1.3 litre Multi-jet diesel engines are also manufactured in this unit.

      Apart from Fiat cars, Tata passenger cars are also manufactured in this production unit. Investment made by the company in the Ranjangaon facility is more than € 650 Million. At presents, the company provides employment to 4,000 people, directly and indirectly.

      In 1899, Fiat manufactured its first car, and till date, the company has successfully rolled over 90 million cars and light commercial vehicles.
