After rolling out facelift variants of Linea and Punto, Fiat is now gearing up to bring forth its new products for the Indian customers. Among the two new products, Fiat Avventura crossover and 500 Abarth are included. While Avventura crossover will be launched this month, 500 Abarth is expected to be launched next month.
500 Abarth is a performance oriented hatchback from Fiat that will be a part of aggressively priced entry level luxury small cars. In its segment, the vehicle will face stiff competition from the likes of BMW 1-Series, Mercedes Benz A-Class, Volvo V40 Cross Country etc. Under the hood will be a 1.4 litre, MultiAir, turbocharged petrol engine that develops maximum power output of 135 Bhp. Other than this, Fiat could also put on offer ‘Essess’ variant that will deliver maximum power output of 161 Bhp. On the feature front, it is expected that Fiat will equip high-end premium features in the hatchback such as projector head lights, dual-exhaust system, KONI front-shock absorbers, anti-lock-braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), electronic stability control (ESC) and seven airbags.
After a long time Fiat is bringing forth new products for the domestic market, hopefully launch of these new products will help car maker improve sales and recoup its image in Indian car market.
