As the Frankfurt Motor Show-2011 is inching closer, more and more car makers are announcing their plans of showcasing their new generation car models at the event. The show has provided a superb platform to the automakers to display their future products and designs. It’s now Ferrari that has joined the league of car makers who will be displaying or launching their new generation cars at the show. The super luxury sports car maker will uncover its 458 Italia Spider model at the show. The car will be launched in the market soon after its display at the show.
The announcement came just a few days after Lamborghini's announcement of launching an all new super sports variant of its world famous Gallardo model.
Ferrari has revealed a few details of the new 458 Italia Spider convertible model that will be replacing the older 430 Spider model. Fir example, the soft top of the older version has been replaced with the retractable hard top in the new car.
The new Ferrari 458 Italia will be powered by the same 4.5 liter and V8 engine that has been doing duties in the 430 Spider model. The powerful engine of the car would be delivering a peak power of 570 hp. The massively powered engine of the new 458 Italia enables it to break the speed barrier of 60 mph in just 4 seconds. The top speed of the super luxury is 200 mph.
