      Bajaj Auto's Export Plans For Next Three To Four Years

      India’s most popular two and three-wheeler automobile manufacturer Bajaj Motors is planning to expand its export business to a higher level in the near future. BAL is now exporting vehicles to the tune of one million vehicles to countries such as Africa, Latin America and the South-East and Middle-East Asian markets with good amount of success. Following that success, the company has decided to get more focused on these exports.

      While presenting company's annual report for 2010-2011, Rahul Bajaj, chairman of Bajaj Auto Limited, said that BAL had exported 1.2 million units in 2011 and following that the company will export two million two wheeler and three-wheeler units in next three to four years.

      "Africa remains a key focus area, with increased presence in Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya and Angola. South East Asia was another bright spot. The company's subsidiary in Indonesia, PT BAI, grew volumes by 81 per cent with sales of 21,586 units, largely the Pulsar range” said by Bajaj Auto Limited.

      The sales of above mentioned countries were at an all time peak. Especially in South Asian countries like Sri Lanka the growth was significant at 76%, while in Bangladesh this was 34 percent. On the other hand, in areas like Latin America, Central America and Cambodia also, sales boomed with overall growth of 47%.
