Now that the 2018 S-Class is undergoing a refresh, sources suggest that the Coupe and Cabriolet versions of this sedan are likely to get the same upgrades before they debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year.

Facelifted S Class Cabriolet and Coupe to debut at Frankfurt this year

It is believed that the Coupe and Cabriolet iterations will be at the receiving end of the same updates that are incorporated into the 2018 S-Class. These include design tweaks, feature upgrades and technology improvements made to the new S-Class. So, expect new alloy wheels, sportier front fascia, extra luxury features and tech-laden semi-autonomous driving aides to find their way into these cars too.

The facelifted S-Class Coupe and Cabriolet will also borrow the new set of motors from the refreshed S-Class. These include the 4.0-litre V8 engine that will power both the regular and the AMG version, since it will be tuned for two different power outputs. But the range-topper here will undoubtedly be the V12 engine that currently powers the S600 and the AMG S65 versions. However, there’s been no confirmation as to which engines will find their way into both applications.

Reports state that the upgraded Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe and Cabriolet will retail at higher prices over the current models since they will be offering a lot more tech and features. Stay tuned for more news in the days to come.
