The fully-owned subsidiary of Renault, Dacia, has stepped its foot into the light commercial vehicle market of United Kingdom. It has launched the Duster Commercial, which has been specially launched for the people who run small businesses according to Dacia. The vehicle is actually a two-seater model and has been tagged at £9,595, which comes up to Rs. 8.8 lakh approximately. It is currently available in the UK in two trim varieties – Lauréate and Ambiante. The first delivery of these models has been slated for the month of June, 2015.
The Duster Commercial has been provided with both, 4x4 (AWD) as well as 4x2 (FWD) variants. The car has a load carrying capacity of 1150 litres for the 4x2 model and 1000 litres for the 4x4 one. A payload of 550 kilograms is on offer with a flat cargo deck of almost 1.4 metres long and over a metre wide. Coming to the mechanistic details, Duster Commercial will be provided with a 1.5-litre K9K dCi diesel mill, which is capable of generating 107 hp at the rate of 4000 rpm and a torque of 240 Nm at 1750 rpm.
