Popular bike manufacturer, DSK Hyosung is making a good business with its premium bikes, so says the sales reports. The recent reports released by the company have shown that it had a growth of more than 100 per cent on a year-to-year basis. This growth was spotted in its 220 cc category of motorbikes, as a result of selling of 375 units of Aquila 250 and the all-new GT 250 R, during the period of July – August 2014. The new Aquila 250 R has been tagged as the real cruiser bike and is the first luxury model in the segment of 250 cc bikes. This bike has received wonderful response as it touched 275 bookings with the initial month of its launch.
The all-new advanced GT 250R has also contributed to the good sales reports for this company. With futuristic styling concepts, sporty graphic designs and aggressive styling, this bike has changed quite a lot. Stylish new headlamps, three attractive colour variations make the bike a stand apart from the crowd. Shirish Kulkarni, the Chairman of DSK Hyosung was asked about his view on the great sales reports. He said, “Growth in terms of sales has been phenomenal for the previous quarter. We have witnessed around 80-90% year-on-year growth this year when compared to the same period last year. The 250cc segment has always been the fastest selling segment for DSK Hyosung, this year it has been the game changer with new launches coupled with evolving customer buying patterns and organic growth in metros as well as tier II & II cities, and overall positive sentiment reflected within the economy. In the next couple of months, we are aiming to achieve a sales target of 300 bikes per month and are quite confident of accomplishing the same”.
