      'Drive to Discover' rally with Honda Amaze flagged off from Thiruvananthapuram

      Firms operating in the Indian car market have a lot more to do than just selling their vehicles. In order to sustain themselves in India and outdo competitors, firms have to devise strategies that aim at building the brand-customer relationship. Over the years, companies that have managed to create a good rapport with their customers are the ones enjoying a good stint in the Indian auto market. Honda, the Japan based auto maker, is one of those companies that have been pretty active in organising interactive events for its customers. Continuing the tradition, Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) announced the commencement of the 'Drive to Discover' rally with the Amaze compact sedan. Notably, this is the fourth time that Honda has organised the 'Drive to Discover' rally.

      This time the program was started from Peninsular Honda, which is a dealership located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The 'Drive to Discover' with Honda Amaze rally was started in presence of Jnaneswar Sen, the Senior Vice-President for Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL). According to sources, Honda aims at promoting the highlights of the Amaze sedan. Along with ensuring that participants have a good time, Honda would be looking to bring forth the reliability and durability of the Amaze. Also, the company is expecting make participants more aware about the technological proficiency of the i-DTEC engine.

      The 'Drive to Discover' with Honda Amaze rally will feature around 18 people, who are keen followers of cars and love travelling. Sources claim that six participants each would be representing individual legs of the rally. Honda has quite elaborate plans in terms of the distance it aims to cover through this program. According to sources, people taking part in the 'Drive to Discover' with Honda Amaze rally will be driving the car along the eastern coast of the country. On their way to Kolkata, the last destination in this rally, participants are expected to pass through numerous popular Indian cities and towns, such as Kanyakumari, Chennai, Vijayawada, Puri, Puducherry, Bhubaneswar, Vizag and Nellore. This drive, spanning by three legs, is expected to cover a distance of around 3000 km.

      Officials from Honda Cars India Limited are pretty upbeat about this event and are expecting it to attract a lot of attention. Jnaneswar Sen, who was present at the flagging off of the 'Drive to Discover' with Honda Amaze rally, summarised the firm's aims behind organising this event. “We really look forward to the Drive to Discover every year as it has been able to create a niche amongst participants and travel enthusiasts across the country. Honda Amaze resonates best-in-class characteristics in terms of mileage, power and space,” he was quoted as saying.

      In recent times, several companies have organised events, wherein they promote one of their most successful models. Renault, the French car maker, was also involved in the organising of an event that promoted the Duster compact Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV). Industry experts believe that such events are really important for brands that do not have aggressive marketing campaigns.
