Yash Raj Films, one of India's leading production houses, released a teaser of their much awaited film, Dhoom 3, on their official YouTube channel. This film features superstar Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. Slated to be third instalment of the Dhoom franchise, this movie is expected to be an action extravaganza filled with gravity defying and breathtaking stunts. Within the first seven hours of its release, the teaser managed to get over four lakh views on YouTube. Tabloids and Internet media portals have appreciated the quality of teaser, describing it as quite intriguing and well-shot. The Dhoom series is one of the most popular franchises of modern day Indian cinema, something that can be quantified by the success of the first two editions.
The teaser of Dhoom 3 begins with a shot of a superbike zooming through an empty road. This is followed by actor Aamir Khan walking in his apartment and a narration going on in the background. The highlight of the teaser, however, is the sequence depicting Aamir Khan performing an amazing stunt on a BMW bike. It is being said that the bike shown in the film is the BMW K1300R, a machine equipped with a powerful 1.3-litre engine. Capable of generating an output of 173 bhp, the K1300R can clock 100 kmph from 0 kmph in a time span of around 2.81 seconds, something that can be considered quite incredible. The Dhoom 3 teaser also shows Uday Chopra riding a superbike, which looks like the BMW S1000RR. Film analysts have predicted that the makers will take the quality of action sequences to a higher level. Notably, Dhoom 3 is going to be released after Krrish 3, which is also going to have a number of action sequences and scenes with visual effects.

In the first film, titled Dhoom, the thief was played by actor John Abraham, who received a lot of acclaim for his portrayal. The second instalment of this series saw actor Hrithik Roshan play the role of Mr. A, a notorious thief who liked to steal rare and expensive items from all over the world. Interestingly, this will be the first time that a Dhoom film feature two antagonists, essayed by Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif. Sources claim that Aamir Khan has done a lot of preparation for this role of a circus gymnast in the film.
