Daimler Chrysler India is a 100% subsidiary of Diamler Chrysler group t hat owns popular brands such as Plymouth, Jeep, Dodge, Mercedes-Benz, etc. Now the Indian subsidiary is planning to venture into the Information Technology Enabled Services in India.
According to the sources in the company, it is planning to open an 80,000 sq. ft. ITeS operation in RMZ Millenia IT Park, in south Chennai as its first operation.
"We have been told that Chrysler's call centre operations would be for their customers. They have initially taken 20,000 square feet and have signed agreements to take another 60,000 square feet. Their operations alone would attract 800 staffers," reported official sources at RMZ Millenia Park.
This call center shall be functional for both the Chrysler auto operations as well as Chrysler Financial sources. The financial wing of the Chrysler offers wholesale finance plans for wholesalers, dealers, retail consumers as well as lease programs and insurance programs. It also offers financial products and services to dealers and consumers of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge in US, Canada and Mexico.
