Chevrolet had recently introduced the facelifted Cruze trim in India at a starting price tag of Rs 14.68 lakh. The company had introduced the facelifted model in hopes of regaining its lost share in the Indian market. The vehicle was offered with new LED DRLs, chrome loaded front grill and fog lamp housing. Additionally, it also comes with a rear lip spoiler. To further lure carbuyers in the country the company has revised the vehicle prices (All prices ex-showroom Delhi) – The LT variant that was offered at Rs 14.68 lakh now costs about 13.95 lakh with a difference of about Rs 73,000. The LTZ is now offered at 15.95 Lakh as against the older price of Rs 16.75 lakh with reductions amounting to Rs 80,000. The LTZ Automatic attracts the highest reduction in price of about Rs 86,000 with new price of about 16.95 as against the older price of Rs 17.81 lakh.
The 2016 Chevrolet Cruze is is powered by 2.0-litre diesel engine that generates about 164 bhp of power and 380 Nm of torque. the vehicle is offered in automatic transmission option apart from the regular 6-speed gearbox. As per ARAI test, the automatic trim returns about 14.81 kmpl while the manual trim returns about 17.9 kmpl.
In terms of features, the new Chevrolet Cruze comes loaded with 7" MyLink touchscreen infotainment system, SIRI eyes-free compatibility, climate control with new touch interface, multi-function steering wheel, reversing camera. The vehicle also offers support for Bluetooth telephony. Now with the reduction in prices along with new upgrades, indeed makes the new Cruze a strong contender in its segment.
