Carzonerent, a car rental company, on Friday launched 'inter-city, intra-city and self-drive services' in Hyderabad. The company is aiming to register a double fold increase in their market share to 20 percent in the city over a period of next three years. In a bid to offer rental services to the Indian travelers, the company is tying-up with as many as 145 international partners.
Speaking to the reporters recently, Carzonrent MD and CEO Rajiv Vij said, "All these three services will be available in an array of cars starting from economy to luxury cars. Carzonrent which runs a fleet of around 700 cars in the city as of now will dedicate additional 200 cars each for inter-city and intra-city travel and 100 cars for self-drive services in the first phase."
At present, Carzonerent has a market share of about 10 percent in Hyderabad, while at the same time having 18 per cent market share in major cities across the Indian market. With a fleet of 6500 cars, the company has crossed a revenue mark of Rs 250 crore last year.
Meanwhile, the company is planning to commence their self drive customer service within a period of 30 days.
