      MSIL to reach full production levels at Manesar within next 1 month

      After restoring the partial production at the troubled Manesar plant, the country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is planning to reach the full production level in coming one month. It is to be mentioned here, that the company is currently producing around 150 cars at the Manesar plant, as compared to earlier production level of about 1500-1600 units per day.

      Meanwhile, the company is carrying forward with their future investment plans at the Manesar facility. MSIL plans to invest a sum of Rs 1,700 crore to set-up third plant at Manesar. Besides this, the company has planned-up a R&D and track and testing facility, and also a Suzuki's motorcycle facility in Rohtak with an investment of Rs 3,500 crore.

      In a statement given on Friday in Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Haryana Industries Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said, “At present, plant-A and plant-B are back in production and on August 22, 186 cars were produced. Maruti (Suzuki) is expected to restore its original production capacity within next fortnight or month." He was replying to a Calling Attention Motion given by BJP MLA Anil Vij.
