BMW's new M5 launched in Qatar

The world leading high performance saloon car from BMW, the fifth generation BMW M5 was recently launched in Qatar by Alfardan Automobiles. The modern four-door, five seater sedan received an overwhelming response when the car made its Middle East debut at the Dubai International Motor Show.   

Present at the launch, Managing Director, BMW Group Middle East, Dr. Joerg Breuer commented, “The design, comfort, technology and engineering of the new BMW M5 is very different from the predecessor model, and as a result, our importers have already received numerous orders from customers wanting to purchase this car.”

BMW M5 is powered with an advanced and superior performing, 4.4-litre, V8 engine that has an M twin power turbo package along with twin turbo technology, direct petrol injection and fully variable valve control. The power packed engine is capable of churning maximum power of 560 bhp at 6,000 to 7,000 rpm and optimum torque delivered is around 680 Nm at 1,500 rpm.

Buyers will be experiencing a 100 kmpl speed figure in only 4.4 seconds. Moreover, it has a maximum speed of up to 250 kmph and can be increased to an impressive 305 km per hour with the M driver's package.

The launch also showcased the use of extensive Efficient Dynamics technology in BMW M5. The advanced technology includes auto start-stop and brake energy regeneration which reduces the fuel consumption by more than 30% in comparison to its predecessor.

The new BMW M5 also provides the driver with individually configured set-ups that can be chosen with the help of the M Drive buttons mounted on the steering wheel. Drivers can change the accelerator response, gearbox response, Dynamic Stability Control modes, dynamic damper control and information in the head-up display.

The new BMW M5's exterior styling and features are synonymous to BMW M aesthetics and keep the dynamic and sport structure intact. Towards the interior, a luxury-driven cabin comes with a sports car cockpit, Merino leather seating and a BMW individual roof lining in Anthracite.

Thus, the with enhanced performance and super luxurious features, the fifth generation BMW M5 is expected to rule the Middle East luxury car market.
