      BMW rated as the most reputable company worldwide

      As per a study conducted by Reputation Institute for assessing the best globally reputed corporate, BMW has topped the list as the most reputable company to work in followed by Mercedes-Benz in the fourth position and Volkswagen in the eighth position.

      The New York based private consultancy firm, Reputation Institute, collated more than 1.5 Lakh ratings in the month of March and April 2012 from about 47,000 consumers globally across 15 global markets to shortlist the final 100 companies that comprise in the World’s Most Reputed Companies.

      The main purpose of the study is to gauge the reputation earned by top globally acclaimed companies not only in their parent country but also in the countries where they operate. The final list of the 100 top companies represents the level of their reputation along with their reliability and popularity across worldwide markets.

      Along with BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen, other auto majors who made it to the list are Honda Motors at 22nd rank, Toyota Motor Corporation at 37th rank, Nissan Motor Company at 62nd rank, Suzuki Motors at 88th rank and Hyundai Motor Company at 96th rank.

      The study termed as, Global RepTrak™ 100 study was conducted online in 15 nations and each participant was expected to rate a maximum of five companies on the basis of familiarity from a random list of companies with the help of Reputation Institute's standardized RepTrak™ Pulse. The scores were set on the basis of four emotional factors such as esteem, trust, admiration and good feeling.
