      The Bike Festival of India, along with its partners have roped in Mahendra Singh Dhoni, India's Cricket Captain for its official 2014 inaugural launch. The Indian Cricket captain has been a known motor-sport enthusiast, making him an ideal candidate for the purpose. The BFI event provides with a common platform for biking enthusiasts. The underlying principle of this event is to promote safe biking to the masses.
       
      The festival due this coming Friday, anticipates over 120 biking communities across the nation to participate in this event. The shortlisted participants shall be a part of grand finale that would be held in October 2014 at Buddh International Circuit (BIC) in Greater Noida. This event is a sole biking adventure held in India.

      Talking about the event MS Dhoni said, “Biking for me is a passion, which is why I am excited to be part of this initiative that not only is an adventure in its form but also promotes safe biking. BFI will be an annual platform for the biking community to meet, interact and share adventures together. Meeting with the presidents of various biking communities from all over India has been enlightening and I look forward to joining them sometime on the track."
       
      Co-Founder of the event and a super-biker himself, Mr. Ikjot Singh and another event co-founder Mr. Vikram Shankar, VP of Event Capital have conceptualized the event and taken pains to ensure that the event is a success. The event also holds value and acts as a witness to the merger of Event Capital, a division of the Laqshya Media Group, and Rhiti Sports, India's leading sports management firm.
       
      The Festival will kick off with a cross-country bike ride scheduled in early 2014. The ride shall be mapped through each and every state in this country. Moreover, this month long event is expected to put India in the Guinness World Records. Post this event there would be a racing championship at BIC in March. Thereafter, the BFI has stated that it shall hold a Dirt Bike Championship and a Rally Championship featuring a series of competitions such as stunt riding, burnouts, stoppies, wheelies, and group rides.
       
      Apart from the race track competitions the event shall also feature other off track competitions such as weight lifting, arm wrestling, bench press, push ups and food festivals for visitors who wants to visit the event and experience the ambiance that would last a lifetime.
