Italian bike manufacturer Benelli has been doing really well in India and particularly in its southern region. Recently Benelli Bengaluru, based in the capital of Karnataka, celebrated the delivery of its 100th unit and did it by taking a ride from the showroom located in Richmond Circle to Kolar. A similar situation was replicated in the Maharashtrian city of Pune, thereby making things even better for the bike maker.

Speaking from a time frame point of view, Benelli took periods of three and four months to register 100 units in cities of Bengaluru and Pune, respectively. Shirish Kulkarni of DSK Motorwheels, which is in partnership with Benelli in India, spoke about this landmark during the key handing over event of the bike.

“Pune, in recent times, has emerged as a city with a particular fondness for superbikes. Since the launch of our exclusive showroom for DSK Benelli superbikes, we have received an overwhelming positive response. The remarkable feat of achieving 100 superbike sales in Pune, not only highlights the brand value and customer patronage of DSK Benelli, but also demonstrates the growing market for superbikes in India,” he was quoted as saying.

At present DSK Motorwheels has five models of Benelli on sale in the Indian market, namely TNT 300, TNT 899, TNT 1130, TNT 600i and TNT 600GT. These bikes are assembled locally at facility in Wai, which is located in the state of Maharashtra.
