      Battle between popular scooters: TVS Zest Vs Honda Activa-i Vs Yamaha Ray Vs Hero Pleasure

      Scooters play a crucial role in determining the role of two-wheeler section in the Indian auto market. Interestingly, Honda Activa outsells Hero Splendor almost every other month to retain the title of largest selling two-wheeler in India. Initially, the automatic scooter market was dominated by TVS. However, this trend changed when several other players forayed into this segment. But TVS has not given up as it recently introduced the biggest scooty yet, namely Zest. In this battle, we have come up with a comparison between Scooty Zest, Honda Activa-I, Yamaha Ray and Hero Pleasure.

      TVS Scooty Zest comes equipped with a 110 cc CVTi air cooled engine, which churns out a maximum power of 8 bhp and peak torque of 9 Nm. A similar output can be seen in the Honda Activa, which is powered by a 110 air cooled engine. On the other hand, Yamaha Ray Z features a 113 cc SOHC air cooled engine, churning out 7 bhp of highest power and 8 Nm of maximum torque. Last participant in the chart, Hero pleasure has a 102 cc OHC air cooled engine, belting out 7 bhp with 8 Nm of torque.

      With all these engine specifications, let’s not compare the prices of all these models. The least priced is TVS Scooty Zest, which bears an ex-showroom (Delhi) price of Rs. 42300 and then comes Hero Pleasure with tag of Rs. 43000. Interested buyers can get a Honda Activa-I for Rs. 43680, while Yamaha Ray Z, being the dearest, is priced for Rs. 48000 (all prices are ex-showroom Delhi).
