Bajaj is ready to bring its new and upgraded Pulsar 220 DTSi model in India. The new model will come without the fuel injection technology which means that the new model will be priced extremely competitively in the market. The flag ship model of the company is expected to be priced at Rs. 70,000 ex-showroom Delhi and will be pitted against the new Apache 180 RTR and Yamaha FZ16.

Although the fuel injection technology is absent in the new model, nevertheless it is capable of producing more power at 21PS. It gets a mean and aggressive look from its all-black treatment. Moreover, the company has also worked on the gearing of the motorcycle which will help the new 220 to reach the top speed of more than 140kmph.

Sources privy with the news have said that Bajaj Auto is targeting one-third of the market to strengthen its leadership position in this segment. They say Bajaj Auto will also start exports to some international markets, including Sri Lanka, Colombia and Indonesia.
