Bajaj Auto, the leading two-wheeler maker, has announced that the launch of much-awaited Pulsar RS200 or 200 RS will take place in the Indian market on March 26, 2015. The company has already teased the bike, with a tagline 'Fastest Pulsar Yet'. However, the homegrown automaker will also launch the Pulsar 400SS and CS400 sportsbikes in the Indian two-wheeler market this year.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 features a 200cc, 4-valve engine with a triple spark technology that helps in attaining ideal engine speeds, especially on cruising and high speeds. It is propelled by a 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that churns out 24.4PS of power at 9,500rpm and 18.6Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. The engine is matched with a six-speed gearbox. Thisnengine also powers the Pulsar 200NS, but it is tweaked to offer 1PS more power and .3Nm of torque.
Dimensionally, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 measures 2,060mm in length, 750mm in width, 1,160mm in height, and it comes with a ground clearance of 165mm. The fully faired bike is equipped with a front fairing, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights and dual projector headlight with automatic headlight function. The bike will be made available in two variants - with and without ABS. It is expected to be offered at a price tag of about Rs. 1.10 lakh to Rs. 1.35 lakh.
