With an aim of increasing its market share to 20 per cent from 17 per cent, Bajaj Auto plans to launch 6 new products within the first half of 2015. The auto maker has plans to launch at least one bike every month, with many new models along with the regular upgrades. One such bike is the 200SS, termed as India’s own ‘Superbike’.

Speaking about this, S Ravikumar, Bajaj’s Business and Development head for the auto part, mentioned that the company's plan to launch one new vehicle every month for the first half of 2015 is something which nobody has ever seen before. Bajaj’s entry into new segments has also seen wide appreciation among the Indian auto enthusiasts.

Up front, the bike will come with new day time running LEDs. The bike will have a full feature integrated turn indicators, like the ones seen on the Duke 200, and it will have a normal, standard exhaust. The tail lamps would have LEDs as well.

Inspired majorly from KTM, the bike will have most of KTM’s features in its technical specifications. It will feature a 200 cc engine, rolling out a maximum power of over 21 bhp and a highest torque of 18.3 Nm. With ABS, the bike aims to be more tour centric rather than racing, and it will not be like the same old sporting bikes offered to the Indian buyers up till now.
