For Indian automotive enthusiasts, Auto Expo ranks quite high as it is one of the most eagerly awaited events. The biennial event is scheduled to take place in February 2014, in which prominent car companies from different parts of the world will be marking their presence. As news and developments have been surfacing a lot regarding the models displays at the upcoming event, auto aficionados are in for an exciting time to look forward to. Generally, the footfall received in the Auto Expo is huge and this year the figures are further expected to go up from last time. Keeping these facts in mind, organisers of the event have decided to split the Auto Expo 2014 in two separate parts namely, Motor Show and Component Show.
In order to accommodate a large number of people, the Motor Show will he held at Indian Expo Mart in Greater Noida from 7th to 11th of February 2013. While the Component Show will be held in Pragati Maidan on 6th till the 9th of February. Auto Expo 2014 is jointly organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) in India. Since the previous edition, a significant increase in the number of participants is presumed. In the list of the companies that would be marking their presence for the first time are Chrysler, Isuzu Motors and DSK Hyosung. Apart from the 41 companies, some major tyres and oil lubricants companies are likely to be present at the Auto Expo 2014.
At the India Expo Mart venue, the main event, Auto Expo 2014 will commence on 7th February from 10 am till 6 pm. For media persons and other important delegates, the business hours will be reserved from 10 am till 1 pm. Whereas for general public, the motor show will be open from 1 pm till 6 pm. In the Greater Noida venue, a total of 75000 persons can be dealt at a time. The visitors will be categorised under badged visitors, Exhibitors/Media and VIPs. It must be noted that the entry to the Motor Show will be closed 1 hour before the closing time. The tickets to the fabled event will soon be available at all Delhi Metro stations. Indian Auto Expo is one of the largest motor shows in the world both in terms of footfall and display space as the same in the 13th edition Auto Expo 2013 has increased by nearly 30 per cent to 50000 square metres. The India Expo Mart venue is divided into 8 halls which are located on the ground and first floor. Also to mention, the interior space is around 27648 square metres apart from the additional space of 33600 square metres that is available outside in open lawns.
At the Auto Expo 2014, it is being said that around 20 new cars and about 12 facelift models are expected to be displayed. Also, car makers would be trying to bring some cheers in the Indian car market, which is going through one of its worst times at present.
